I am not going to show my Poodle and he/she will be altered when my vet and I decide it is a good time to do it. What difference does it make if the parents have been checked for health problems?

My teen age daughter wants a teacup Toy Poodle that she can carry in her purse. Should I get her a male or female?

What are the basic grooming tools every Poodle owner should have?
> > > You should have a pin brush, a slicker and a metal comb. You may also want nail clippers.
How often should a Poodle be groomed?
> > > Poodles should be brushed out at least twice a week and bathed every two weeks. They should be bathed and clipped every four weeks.
I have watched Dog Shows on TV. It looks like it might be fun. How can I find a local show where I could go to watch?

What is the difference between a Show and a Match?
> > > A Licensed Show is conducted under Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club. Championship points may be awarded. A Match is like a practice show for dog and handler. Younger puppies (under six months) may compete but no points can be awarded.
