Upcoming Show – Dec 12, 2011
December 9, 2011, December 11, 2011 and December 12, 2011 – Hub Poodle club will be supporting the Poodle Entry at the Shoreline Dog Shows to be held at the Orange County Fairgrounds and on December 10, will be sponsoring a designated Specialty.
Entries close on Wednesday November 23. All information is available from www.onofrio.com We would be pleased if you would like to enter your poodle at the shows
A Canine Experience
Hub Poodle Club of Orange County is once again joining with South Bay Kennel Club to provide an inside look at what goes on at AKC Dog Shows. You can learn how to find a local show, what information you will need if you decide to enter your dog and what you will need to do to get ready to show your dog.
In addition, Mrs. Barbara Millman, a professional obedience trainer and AKC Licensed CGC Evaluator, will be conducting CGC tests. In order to qualify, you and your dog must have the following skills:
- Accept a friendly stranger.
- Sits politely for petting.
- Welcomes being groomed or examined.
- Walks on a loose leash, no pulling.
- Walks through a crowd.
- Knows sit, down , stay.
- Comes when called.
- Reacts politely to another dog.
- Reacts calmly to distractions.
- Behaves politely when separated from owner.
If your dog is ready to demonstrate these skills, please join us on October 24, 2010 at 10 am

A Four Day Dog Show at Costa Mesa
Have you been wondering how you can use up some of those Thanksgiving calories before you finish your Christmas shopping?
How about joining the members of Hub Poodle Club of Orange County and other Poodle exhibitors at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa on December 4,5,6 and 7?
Shoreline Dog Fanciers and Malibu Kennel Club will be holding All Breed Dog shows those days and HPCOC will support the Poodle entry by offering trophies for Best of Variety and Best Opposite Sex in all Varieties
On Saturday, December 5, Hub will hold a Designated Specialty at the Shoreline show. There will be awards for Best Puppy, Best Bred by Exhibitor, Winners, Best of Winners, Best Opposite Sex to Best of Variety and Best of Variety.
