President’s Message

Congratulations on finding us and WELCOME to the Hub Poodle Club of Orange County website! Although our club has been established for many years, this is our first foray onto the internet.  Since its inception, HPCOC has taken seriously our primary objective “to encourage and promote the scientific breeding of purebred poodles and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection”.  These may sound like lofty words; however, as you may guess they were penned many decades ago.  Today we might use different language, but our purpose to promote and enhance our wonderful breed remains true.  We are here to share our knowledge and experience with people seeking information and knowledge about all 3 varieties of Poodle—Standard, Miniature and Toy. Functioning under the auspices of the Poodle Club of America, we share in the responsibilities of informing, educating, and encouraging ownership of our fabulous poodles.

Our website is offered so that you can catch a glimpse of what we do as a club and the resources we can recommend. Through the world wide web, we offer an opportunity to share in the knowledge we have acquired over the years and point you in a the right direction if you are trying to add a Poodle to your family as well as to offer other bits and pieces of information if you already own a Poodle….

Our club presents a Specialty show every year—sometimes independently and other times our Specialty show is held within an All Breed Dog show, in either event, all participants are welcome to join in the fun….

Our club does not offer any rescue services, but we can refer you to other Poodle Clubs that do rescue, such as the San Diego Poodle Club.

Our membership dues are nominal, but you must attend 2 meetings before applying for membership.  Our general meetings are held every other month in Garden Grove, CA. There are a couple of special meetings each year—an anniversary Pot Luck in June and a Puppy Party Pot Luck in August. We would like to offer a warm welcome for you to come join us…
